What is Business Index?
Business Index is private semantic search for your business files.
It runs locally on your computer, searches information by meaning and surfaces connections between related documents and ideas.
What does semantic search mean?
Semantic search looks for information with a similar meaning, not only the exact words you entered.
This lets you search using the idea or situation you remember, even when the original document used different language.
Is Business Index a chatbot?
Not in the usual sense.
Business Index may provide a conversational way to search, but its purpose is to find, connect and source information from your business files. It is not intended to be a general-purpose assistant.
Are my files uploaded somewhere?
Business Index processes and indexes your selected files locally. Your searchable index remains on your computer.
Internet access may be required for installation, licence activation and product updates. Searching your local index does not require uploading your business files to a cloud knowledge base.
Does Business Index change my files?
Business Index accesses selected source folders on a read-only basis. It creates a separate local index without reorganizing or rewriting your original documents.
Can I control what gets indexed?
Yes. You select which folders Business Index may index and can exclude folders you do not want included.
Can I delete the index?
Yes. You can delete and rebuild your local index without deleting or changing your original business files.
What happens when the free trial ends?
Active indexing and search pause. Your original files remain untouched, and your local index remains available for reactivation.
Purchasing Business Index lets you continue from where you left off.
Why does the payment plan cost more?
The upfront price is CAD $299. The 12-payment purchase plan totals CAD $348.

What happens after twelve payments?
