Your business content stays on your computer

Business Index processes the folders you select on your computer.

Your documents, searchable index, questions, answers, and search history are not uploaded to a cloud knowledge base.

Your original files remain in their existing folders and are not reorganized or rewritten.

You control what is included

You choose which folders Business Index may search.

You can exclude folders, remove indexed content, or delete and rebuild your Business Index without changing your original files.

When internet access is used

Internet access may be required to install or update Business Index and to manage your software licence.

Licence management uses basic product, licence, and device information. It does not send your filenames, document contents, searches, answers, or indexed business knowledge.

Keeping local information secure

Anyone who can access your computer may also be able to access locally stored Business Index information.

Use appropriate computer account security, disk encryption, folder permissions, and backups to protect your business data.
